Brady-Kendall Juried Art Exhibit

The first Brady-Kendall Juried Art Exhibit was held in 2001.  This exhibition honors John Brady and Frances Kendall, who, together ignited the arts movement in Columbus County.  These two amazing artists awakened the creative interest of the visual arts in our community.  They were teachers, mentors, and supporters of all artists.  John Brady was a prominent North Carolina artist and arts educator who actively painted and taught until the mid 1990s.  Frances was an adventurous painter that combined unique mediums and techniques to create her paintings.
